Sorry for the lousy time had to get up and go drain the pasta for Mac and Cheese Merry Christmas all and a wonderful, peaceful and blessed New Year...........From the wet and cold state of Alabama
Hey katygirltoo, go online and look up the recipe for Macaroni & Cheese SALAD. Start with a box of old-fashioned Kraft M&C. I made one of these salads and it called me right out through the refrige door until it all vanished. I can't believe I ate the whole thing in short order. Yum. Follow recipe on the box and then add little cheese hunks, onion, bell pepper, celery, mayo, and the other mustard, vinegar, sugar, S&P. YUM. I wished that I was on a picnic with all of the traditional stuff, but alas! I had to suffer through really chowing down on just salad without any hot dogs, cold chicken, cake, etc. etc. Trust me. It is really good. I didn't get this pudgy by celery alone!

Hey Starr, I make macaroni salad but without the cheese, this week I made tuna salad, chicken salad and egg salad...I eat them with lettuce onions and tomato as a salad...not all at once of course, I love a tomato stuffed with chicken salad or tuna salad Earlier this week I made chicken and dumplings and also one day chicken teriyaki stir fry with veggie egg rolls I am older and stay at home and cook for just me and hubby but love to cook...Since this is close to Halloween I will wish you a Happy and Safe Halloween...

It all sound great to me, but need one of you to come for a week and cook for me and hubby. I've always cooked for our family, but suddenly I have no desire to cook at all but still want to eat!

Hey Cat, the hardest thing for me to do was learn to cook smaller amounts once the kids were gone but I have adjusted now I take spells when I want a break from cooking cause I am pretty much a scratch cooker I make my own bread, biscuits and such as that so I now realize what a chore it can be but we don't eat really a lot just like to make a variety of things got a freezer with lots of leftovers and we reheat often Have a great Halloween

Cat, my two sons are 42 and 46 but I had lots of family around who came for meals and such, but now they are both married and living away so I had to quit cooking for about 6 or 8 and down to only 2 but I still cook at Christmas and give baked goods to friends and people we do business with..we are in a very small, homey lil town and people still share Christmas with everyone....at Thanksgiving instead of fixing a big turkey we have individual Cornish hens and it works out fine with all the trimmings I will turn 71 Nov. 10th I just love to cook my hubby and I cook together I think he is a closet chef lol lol Have a great day :)

I always hit the pause button. When I cook pasta, or use chocolate I really don't play the puzzles if I'm trying to do well with the time. When cooking pasta I always use a timer. Can't think of how many times I've had pasta come out over cooked.
Oh well. Happy everything year-round and every day.
Amen to that.
