Happy Labor Day and Happy New Week my friends..My son, 3 uncles and 6 cousins are all electricians and I am still waiting 5 months to have an outside light bulb changed..
Old electricians never die, they just get switched off..big hugs.x
Lol D5T - fortunately we have an organization here aspiring to keep older Aussies in their homes and for a small fee they change light bulbs, check fire alarms etc and lots of other jobs as well. If we need a plumber or other tradesperson, they substitute their fees as well. Very handy when over 65 and need something done. Hugs.

Hi D5T - that should have read subsidise not substituted. I am well - tomorrow would have been my 4th wedding anniversary, so a bit of a sad time for me - long story. I travelled through Europe some years ago and have wanted to see Ireland for as long as I can remember. Love the Irish and their delightful sense of humour. My travelling companion had type 1 diabetes and was drinking all the time we were gone and he deteriorated so much that when we got to Scotland I decided to come home and the next port of call was Ireland :( So sad I missed out, but perhaps one day, who knows? Take care and God bless. Hugs.

There are extension tools that change lightbulbs in unreachable situations. Any decent sized hardware store should sell such an item, as they are quite common.

Not so much being able to reach it, but it is the falling off the ladder that the government is not in favour of for older people. I agree with them lol Hugs retirenow
Good ones this morning Aussie lol!! Hope you are well, want you to know, you are always in my prayers. Be safe.

That is so funny Aussie. In PA.there are signs everywhere that says "men at work". But when you go by, they are standing and talking while looking around to see if anyone is watching. I have seen this is other states as well. I do pray for the hard workers who do a great job and service our country and those who work around the world.

Hi Aknan, love that saying, have it on a signature in one of my emails. Hope you are well. Hugs.
My mother went into labour for me almost 76 years ago. She went to be with the Lord 20 years ago and I still miss her and think of lots of things I wish I had asked her including how she met my father who was from New Zealand. My sister is doing a family tree, so this information she is gathering will be for future generations. Hugs.

"Caution - men at work" Women work all the time, men have to put up signs when they do. (sorry men lol)
God bless and take care. Hugs.
