No, it's not! We went with all good intentions of a ride in one. We got to New Mexico before our reservations at the Balloon Festival, as we had other wonderful things to see. We watched the news each night and there were three serious accidents the three nights before we were to be there. We canceled all thoughts of riding in one. On the day we were there (The Mass Ascension) later in the afternoon we were wandering around and saw a line of children waiting for a tethered ride. I said to my husband, "I'm going to ask if we can go up when all the children have had their ride." He was shocked that I would think of doing that. I did. The man said, "Just wait over there and I'm sure we can take you up." I went up with two or three children and loved the beautiful feeling of lifting so gently. We reached a certain height, stayed there for several minutes and came down. So glad I had the gumption to ask!!!
