Nhoward ---- I must share this with you. Years ago I was visiting at a funeral home to express my sympathy to the family of the deceased, a wonderful gentleman. ( My husband had died several years before.)
As I approached his wife, she grabbed my hand desperately --- and said, "Does it get any easier? "
I couldn't say it did --- which I think she wanted to hear. I said, " It gets different." And it does --- yes, there are moments of the raw grief all over again, but there are also moments of remembering fondly the good times. Bless you as you cope.

Thank you, JAMP124. I do believe that is true. It is incredibly hard right now, and it always will be, but in a different way as you said. But I know life goes on and God, family, and friends such as you will get me through. God bless.

Nhoward, I'm glad Pete passed as he wanted to and is now held close to the heart of God. His arms are wrapped around you, too. Please don't be afraid to pour out all your problems, worries and thoughts in prayer. From experience, I know how much that helps. And don't forget to cry! God gave us tears to help us bear the worst of sorrows, so let them flow when you need to. My heart is with you.

That is what my family tells me..cry all you want and if you laugh, don't feel guilty. I do cry and it helps and remembering some of the things that Pete did makes me laugh, or just something that is going on makes me laugh and that helps. What is keeping me going is that I have faith that God is with me every second, and that Pete is with Him. Thank you, aknan, and thanks all the lovely people that have been sharing love with me.
