The closest that I've ever done to ice skating was sliding on a frozen lagoon at a local park. Someone had cut a large hole in the ice for ducks that had apparently flew south months earlier and I fell into the hole. I can't swim, so that made things much worse, but there was quite a substantial gap between the bottom of the ice and the water. Fortunately, there were a few friends there to pull me out of the water.
Yes Jamie, I agree, apart from the red it is monochromatic, I havent, t thought of that word for years.....brings back happy memories of art classes in high school decades ago.

I'm glad that I used monochromatic! Did you continue with art after high school?

Only as a hobby, too busy as mum of 4 and nanna of 8. I would like to attend art classes again, sketching and acrylics.......simply for pleasure. Maybe 2016.
Nice winter scene, but I'm sure no one has ever skated with that pair of skates.....way too clean. Mine had black smudges and slosh and lord know what was picked up in the snow and ice...but looked very used, not like these.
Tough puzzle but fun. I did some ice skating as a kid but I was never very good - I wouldn't get very far from the wall! Don't think I want to try it now - too easy to get hurt. But I do love to watch figure skating. It is a beautiful sport.
