This reminds me of a "corner kitchen" we had in Spain. It had a tiny sink, two-burner stove/plate, dishes and utensils for two. We were across the street from the Mediterranean, so little inconveniences in the "kitchen" didn't matter at all! In the morning, Bill would go out on the balcony and keep watch for the bakery truck delivery at the store up the side street. He would take off to get two fresh rolls. We had orange juice, coffee and rolls out on our balcony. It's all those little memories that combine to make the past so wonderful to remember.

Thank you, Karen!
Writing that memory brought about another! ---of that three week sojourn in Spain. And, by the way, we enjoyed it so much, we went back twice more!
We had made friends with three couples and someone suggested we have dinner together.
All of us had discovered a small, "homey" restaurant within a block (and a bit) of our hotel.
It was run by a woman who lived upstairs with her daughter (about fourth grade.)
When we were seated and had ordered, the woman (who was mildly excitable! ) came to our table and said she had to go down the street to get a few provisions. OK! The "kitchen" was behind a counter so you could see everything that was going on. When she had the meal underway, she said, "I have to go upstairs and check on my daughter and her homework. Oh! The homework! It will be the death of me!!! " The eight of us were all former educators and our ears perked up. One of the men said, "Send your daughter and her homework down and we'll have a look at it." She did. The lesson she was working on was fractions. We had a demonstration going on with salt and pepper shakers, utensils, whatever was handy. "Oh, I see! " She sat with us and finished the homework. The mother was so grateful that after the delectable meal, she treated us to one of her delicious desserts! You can't plan such encounters with a travel agent. They just have to happen!

I bet whatever is in that pot smells delicious. Too bad we can't smell it.

Nice tiny kitchen but does not have a lot of space to put all the pots and pans. Good puzzle.
