They look like melamine dishes. When I lived in Canada in the sixties, I bought my mother a set of these dishes and she took them on a picnic and lost two of the cups and saucers. She was really upset by that and when she passed away, my sister gave the set back to me so it has gone full circle.
I realized on our first wedding anniversary that our marriage was in trouble. Fang gave me luggage. It was packed.

That was typical Phyllis Diller humor. She had a self-deprecating humor and loved to talk about Fang. She is missed. Thanks for sharing that quotation from her, AS. Hope you are OK since Ms, Debbie passed your way. She was such a windbag.

Yes they look like melamine and used to use it. I used to have a set of mixing bowls in melamine.

I remember Phyllis and her infectious laugh. One year I got to meet some actors. They I saw one comedian shopping. I saw Buddy Hackett at a movie theatre here. Someone told me that Suzanne Summers was here.
We had yellow plastic plates while going to high school. That was the fad then and they did last a long time. My mother bought some to use for the church dinners--the 50's. When I went back about 10 years ago and they were serving lunch during the town celebration--guess what? They were still using those plates!
