These are located in northeastern Italy and are a section of the Alps known as the Dolomites. The highest peak in this particular section is nearly 11K feet high.
Once described as "...spires and towers of Dolomite overtopping everything, and illuminated when all else is dark. It is a sight both beautiful and mysterious. They rise with such lofty independence of the surrounding scenery, are shattered into shapes so strange, cut the sky with such sharpness of outline and gleam with so unearthly a light that you are riveted by the spectacle."
Sleep with the peace of the just and the knowledge God is watching over you. How is your husband doing?

Hi nlb, he is very slowly getting better, but still cannot sleep laying down. He has been sitting in a rocker in our bedroom for nearly a week now, but at least is getting some sleep. I had another TIA (mini-stroke) last night and as they are getting closer together, it is a bit of a worry. However, my life is in God's hands and just have to appreciate every day that my husband and I have together. Thank you for caring. Hugs.
