My computer is slow this morning for some reason, perhaps due to the weather. I must say, though, this looks more like a hooked rug than a layer cake.
Here's a recipe for a rainbow layer cake from kerrycooks.com:
(Just the cake without frosting)
350g self raising flour
3 tsp baking powder
350 g soft unsalted butter
350 g caster or light brown caster sugar
6 large free-range eggs (I tend to go for happy eggs)
1 tbls vanilla extract
40 ml milk, any kind
I never heard of caster sugar and looked it up; it's just a superfine sugar. Also, 350 grams is equivalent to 2 3/4 cups.
