Well klutzo here managed to burn her finger trying to solder some broken jewelry together. If I have to go to the doctor it'll cost more than having to buy the jewelry new. :-( I think it's 2nd degree--looks like a blister. Oh well.
Wishing you all a Sunday that leads you along right paths.
Hope your finger heals quickly without a trip to the doctor pixi

Don't you just hate when that happens. You think you are doing the right thing and then boom, a bigger problem. Been there done that.

A remedy I heard for burns...don't run burn in cold water just stick burned finger in flour! Yes flour for about 10 min. Its been said to not even blister...I've never had to try that remedy yet...but one never knows...its worth a try

Pixi, you sound like a good candidate for my new club. I plan to organize a chapter of "Procrasters' International"--just as soon as I get around to it! We are a very large world-wide group of klutzos with marvelous, fantastic plans for the future!

Thanks Cindy and Aussie. It isn't hurting any more even when I touch it thru the band aid so hopefully it looked worse than it was. Thanks for your concern and good wishes.

Hi, Pixi, Our Mayo Clinic newsletter said to use plain old yellow mustard. I burned my finger last year and tried it and no pain after a bout 30 minutes. It was on the news about 3 mo. after my burn so maybe more people will know about it. Hope your finger heals.

Thanks Justine. I do have a blister so will have to be careful to protect it but no more pain.

I took the bandaid off for a look yesterday and was surprised to see no blister. It healed back together and never broke open. I put the contents of a vit D gelcap on it. Maybe that made it heal. I know it helps my nails to stop flaking.

So glad your finger is getting better Pixipixil. That is a good idea to use vit. D gelcap. I will have to give it a try next time I get a burn. I do have aloe gel in the fridge, just in case. I've had to use it when I accidentally bumped my hand in a hot oven in April. That smarts! :(

That isn't the whole story. First I put on cortisone but then looked on the web and some doctor's site said not to use it so I used a cotton ball with cool water and aloe soap to gently remove it. Then I put a daub of neosporin ointment on it and covered it with a bandaid. It wasn't until 24 hours later that I put the D gel on it. It no longer hurt so I thought I was safe to try it and boy it sure worked.

Hi Animalvr143, I had to laugh "super klutz", that was me as a kid growing up. I'd trip over my own shoes, while wearing them! :))))))

Yep. Been there, Done that. Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of breaking bones too. I hope you didn't go that far.

We all have our klutzy moments. I never considered myself klutzy until recently. I guess I am a quick learner. (lol)

I am super klutz with my fibromyalgia. You tend to be a bit wobbly with it so I can tip over but have been lucky! Usually something in the way. Have though, broken my foot and that hurt! Cast for 6 weeks during the summer.

In my church choir of a while ago one of our members had that. I knew about the ongoing pain but hadn't heard of the unsteadiness. That must be awful. Please take care, Taffi.
