Awwww! I adore "Santa's" and I also collect them! I have Santa's on our hearth, Santa mugs everywhere not only in the cupboards! But "they" have to have that "real" & unique Santa look before I will keep them!!! Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas everyone. Thanks for the Santa Puzzle C4J Staff.
When I was 4 or 5, I was playing in our backyard. Suddenly, a car sped down the alley, stopping at the house across the alley from ours. Santa was driving and quickly got out of the car and ran inside that house. My dad told me years later that I was speechless and overcome with awe. It was also years later that I learned that the person who lived in the house behind us was a restaurant owner who dressed as Santa Claus in the town's Christmas parade and handed out candy and an orange to all the kids who would go to the police station and stand in line to see Santa.
Thanks! Not too many people ever see Santa outside of the usual locations (malls, holiday parades, etc.).

Sure never saw him run into a neighbor's house. As a kid I used to look at the snowy rooftops to see iof there were any deer tracks on them.

Did you ever see any?
If Santa's reindeer can fly at an estimated 6 million miles per hour according to a recent story about a physicist, they probably don't have a chance to leave many tracks.

(Sometimes the snow melted in little potholes I thought were.)

It's amazing how little things can make you believe in Santa Claus. I grew up fairly close to an air force base in the 60's, so one night on Christmas Eve, we were out late from visiting relatives. Going home, there was a red light in the sky (probably from a military jet) - my dad said that it was Rudolph and we needed to get home and into bed ASAP or Santa would skip our house. It's amazing how fast a child will get to bed if they're worried about Santa passing you on Christmas Eve.

That's so cute, JamieT.
My dad would lock himself into the room with the tree while he decorated it and pretend to be Santa.

When I was about 3 or 4 I heard sleigh bells jingling outside a while after I was putto bed. This sound came from outside somewhere at or above the second floor. I was convinced that Santa Claus was delivering all the neighborhood kids' Christmas presents. I am sure that some adult in our house or in our next door neighbor's house got some sleigh bells out (commonly available in the 50's) and shook them for the kids in the area. Very thoughtful and kind of them!

That's something that probably made a lot of kids pull the cover over their heads and try to fall asleep as quickly as possible - you don't want Santa to pass you by because you're still awake.
I think I have seen him hanging around the malls this month. He is certainly a busy fellow. Hope he takes time to rest when he is finished - or whatever nationality he is.
Looks like a birdhouse to me. Maybe Santa has a little St. Francis in him.

He appeared with a beard and a "Ho, ho ho."
He would slog through the fog and the driving snow.
There was joy all around when the children heard the sound
Of his sleigh bells ringing.
They all knew he'd be bringing lots of love wrapped up
In the form of toys.
Wishing you much joy however you plan to enjoy the holidays.
You don't have to be a Christian to love Christmas. In Japan they lovee it although most aren't. But you know what Christ said when the apostles saw folks curing in Christ's name when they weren't "one of us." He said who isn't against me is for me. Let's hope the love of Christmas can be a step towards the love of Christ.
Sorry. No offense meant to those who love Christ so much they don't need any trimmings. Most of us (I speak for myself) can't do without them.

None taken from Dear. Our church has a Christmas tree, Christmas play and then on Christmas Eve we do a candlelight vigil. Since Christmas is on Sunday this year, there is only one service so we can spend time honoring the birth of Christ and still enjoy family. They celebrate Christmas just like everyone else. The only difference is, they also celebrate the birth which is what most of do. It is not all about what we get, how much we spend, how much we decorate or try keeping with the Jones's. We can trim and still celebrate the true meaning. It is Christ's Day, like everyday should be, not just on Dec. 25th. Have a wonderful and blessed Holiday. Love ya.
