I'm in Anchorage, AK. In addition to moose, we have black and brown (grizzly) bears and a wolf pack, fox, wolverines and badgers. Don't often see the last two in town, but the town backs up to the Chugach mountains and the Chugach National Forest. Love living here!

Been to Alaska 3 times--with land trips. Loved it. One place we did go--flew there from Fairbanks and then cruised down the river to "can't remember name" in Canada. Long time ago. Understand you can't go to Eagle anymore.

You can go to Eagle, it's just that the road is unpaved - the Top of the World Highway. We've driven it to go from Tok to Dawson City in Canada.

Dawson City is where we spent 2 nights. Glad I did all my trips while I was young. Can't do them now--not enough "get up and go"!

Have you ever seen a moose in the wild? I was fortunate enough to have seen one in Yellowstone Park. They are wonderful to behold.

Held2gether, come up to my house in Anchorage. We have moose wandering all through town. In winter, our side yard is a favorite sleeping spot. They like to eat my rose hips.

I think that moose are such an amazing animals. Elegant was a word that my mom used to describe these animals and I agree. They are so hugh and yet look so calm. Hope everyone has a great week, they are predicting truly hot weather for the coming week. should be interesting.

Good Morning to you! and ALL! Hope you can stay cool, we are suppose to get hot here, have been below our normal temps for most of June & July, but noticed today our heat index will be 100 or above! Have really enjoyed the cooler temps this year!

Today is suppost to be a hot one for us. With the humidity too. As we have to endure the below zero days of winter so we have to endure these miserably hot summer days too.
