What do you think is on the top of the roof...snow or sand? Looks like snow, but out of place with the palm trees. Know nothing about Morocco.

I think it's dust from erosion of some of the decorations on top of the buildings, plus from the collapsed wall (upper right).

Morocco is an interesting country. Their artisan work is all about details --- designs, architecture, pottery, mirrors. Distinctive.
