I remember seeing something on TV several years ago about how popular Mt. Fuji is for people to climb - there are even shops that sell things like oxygen and beverages.
We visited Mt Fuji on a bus tour and we were just at the base and we only had light clothes on and we were
freezing but it was so beautiful to really see it. Pictures don't do it justice and we met some school children who wanted to practice their English on us it was quite fun talking to them.
Isn't that the one that 'if you can see the mountain, it's going to snow; if you can't see it, it's already snowing? My son lives in new Plymouth, so he sees a lot of it.

Yes, that's what I was told when I first came here :-)

....but they usually say 'raining', instead of 'snowing'
Just that little bit steeper than Ben Nevis, but well worth seeing magnificent veiws from the top. Would be lovely to sledge down but only if you were 100% sure you would get down in one piece, one can only dream.
