Why would you need neon straws unless you had water on the knee and needed it drained.

HAHAHA!! That was a knee-slapper PW!! I look forward to see what you'll come up with for every puzzle. I wonder if there's a Mrs. PW who is 'entertained' by your puns all day. If there is, she is a keeper!

Yes, there is a Mrs. PW, but she can come up with good ones too - just to PUNish me for using too many of my own.

I wonder if they are called straws because the first ones were hollow stalks of grass. I could use some hosing with crenelations like that on my ponds. The tubing for my "spitty" fish squeezes shut where it bends and then the water doesn't make it to the pond. Well that's all put way for the year so I may try wrapping wire around it next year. They make hose attachments like that for garden hoses so they don't crack or pull apart where they attach to spray wands.
Wishing you a no kinks Sunday where everything flows smoothly.

You need some 'reinforced' hose. Costs a little more than regular garden hoses but is certainly worth it. We don't even mess with non-reinforced hoses any more.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, trynfindit, but when the garden hose needs replacing I'll look into it. I'm not talking about a garden hose, tho. These are hoses that connect pond pumps to a fish fountain. The tubing--I guess I should have called it tubing and not hose--has to bend around a platform that holds the fish. When the weather warms up the tubing gets soft and collapses so the water can't shoot out to the ponds but just dribbles over the side. If I don't keep a watch on it the pond can drain dry and the pump burn out..

Hoses or tubes, same thing applies - you need reinforced tubing. Wherever you go to buy your tubing the people will know what 'reinforced' tubing is. The tubing we use on our pond I clear and has a white 'rib' running coil-fashion throughout the length of the tubing. That support inside of the tubing keeps it from collapsing.

(Garden hoses have reinforced hoses too.)

Typo: "The tubing we use on our pond is clear..."

I'll have to see if anyone has that. What store did you get it at?

Probably either Home Depot or Lowes

Okay. We have both around here. I think I bought the stuff I'm using at True Value. Thanks.

I remember being in the hospital when I was, I think 5 with measles and pneumonia. The one thing that I really remember was the bendable straws - I hadn't seen them anywhere else before and thought they were so neat.

Wow, measles and pneumonia at the same time! That must've been a real torment.

I think my mom thought I was a torment from what she told me. Apparently, I was not good about just laying in bed.

When we are young'uns we do not like to lie in bed, sick or not.
