I have always thought that Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world alas I have never had the chance to go there and having attained the age of 80 don't think I ever will
My mom and a friend went to the Passion play in Germany when she was 75.

I am 63 and don't think it would be a good idea to venture away from our own cooking for more than 5 days. Restaurants often put something in their dishes that disturbs my digestive system for 2 to 3 days. Often it appears to have been an additive to the meat or an ingredient in a sauce in which it is marinated. Makes for nervousness on vacation. Nothing I ever experienced in my pre retirement jaunts.

Yeah they could be things added. I ate at a restaurant and the guest next to our table had to tell the waitress that he couldn't eat seafood or anything with gluten. Then he saw the word risotto on the menu and started using his cell phone to look it up. I told him risooto is rice and my hubby has made it with mushrooms. My cousin has a restaurant - 46 years.
My nephew used to work at the Venice Hotel on Las Vegas, Nevada. He'd sing on those gondoliers, and really enjoyed it, he said. Later, the
company went bankrupt, I "guess".
