Time to switch to Thanksgiving icons.
We have had several days that remained warm. I'm loving them.
I posted yesterday but need to today again.
Just before I got to my brother in AZ he began to have a stroke.
He was admitted to the hospital 4 days after I arrived. We tried to get him to go to a doctor but he wouldn't. The band he plays with sent him to it. They gave him no choice. I was glad because neither I nor his wife could get him to go. He is now paralyzed on his left side and having trouble swallowing.
Please pray he gets better and they find the cause of the stroke which is not his heart. I am certain it is a wisdom tooth root that developed a root tip cyst but his wife won't tell them about it. She is convinced I'm wrong. Now he's in rehab and no one is looking for the cause.
Please pray for him. Thank you.
Strokes and heart attacks are not related. I have had mini-strokes and heart problems for a long time and theyare entirely different. Have to go for an ecocardiogram on Thuesday to determine how my hear is functioning. Praying for you and your bil. Hugs.

I'm surprised that the hospital didn't run proper tests to determine the cause of the stroke. They can be caused by a number of things besides the heart. Sounds like his wife needs prayers as well as your brother. You've got prayers from me, pixi.

Because of the way the thing started...numbness on one side of his face and a swollen cheek, I started thinking about his wisdom tooth where the dentist removed it but left in the root. They didn't look for that probably because it is uncommon and no one told them about it. I thought of it after I got home and phoned urging her to tell them.

Thanks aknan. He was transferred Sunday night into a rehab place and hey discontinued his IV. His wife had to fight with them to get it put back in. They needed a specialist to find his vein to do it. She says he seems improved from it but only mentally. Physically I haven't heard much good news. He can feel his arm and leg but can't move them. I am concerned unless the root of his wisdom tooth is fully extracted it could form another cyst that breaks and might kill him outright this time. His wife does not accept the premise that the wisdom tooth root got infected and caused it. No other cause has been found.
You have to do an xray of the jaw where the root is to know if there had been a cyst there. His mouth is still numb on that side. He has trouble talking and swallowing. The swallow problem is from the stroke but the other two came before it.

Why don't doctors pay attention to oru requests? Teeth, especially wisdom teeth, are so close to the brain and the blood supply for it that infection can easily spread or, in your BIL's case, perhaps loosen a clot that moves into the brain and causes a stroke. How can everyone miss the obvious? Still praying...

Thank you aknan. It's his wife who would not listen. She insisted it was only dehydration and now I think it's too late. But I keep praying.
Pretty decorations. Just now catching up on saved puzzles. Haven't been on much. Staying in bed a lot ordered by nurses because I have a pressure sore I need to stay off of.
Yes, enjoyed working the jigsaw puzzle.
I have a bunch of old/antique rail road lanterns from when rail road people used to swing them letting engineer know about something way in the back caboose. Or I think so!
