This oil painting makes great use of light, with the glare of restaurants and shops spilling out onto the dark street in this Paris scene. The online jigsaw puzzle uses one of the world's most famous landmarks as its subject; the Eiffel Tower.
Not a painting I would want in my house. Perhaps from a greater distance it would be beautiful but I'm not fond of paintings where you cannot see a clear picture of what it depicts. No matter where you display it, you would be too close to get the full effect from somewhere you are standing.
God bless you all and please remember I am not an art expert.
Don't worry nlbuchanan...the artist probably doesn't do jigsaw puzzles. I'm with you all the way on this. Not my cup of tea. Not a patron of the arts, but I know what is not pleasing to my eye, and this is definitely not it.

I agree when I look at a picture
I want to know what i'm seeing
It's getting harder to jigsaw puzzles. Mostly, in the late afternoon, as I'm doing the puzzle and I get sleepy. I have to leave the puzzle and come back later. Like now for me. It's the same thing with knitting lol
Sometimes the rain makes things look prettier than they are. Nighttime city streets with colorful signs are a good example.
Hope even your rainy days are beautiful.
