Hey puzzling friends, I have some news ya'll may want to hear for a change. I finished up my internship and scored a 999 out of 1010. I did not expect to get that good of a grade, especially with everything I had to endure. And I find out that my husband's 64-year-old cousin in California died of a massive heart attack a few days ago. I think God is really putting me to the test. I rely on Him for strength, hope, and encouragement. It is by His grace that I am able to endure all of this. I hope I did bring a little good news your way. 2 more courses and then I am done with Bachelors's Degree in Elementary Education and Autism.
Fabulous news mamag, congratulations!! Job well done and now there's a light at the end of the tunnel. So sorry to hear about your cousin. {hugs}

So proud of you, mamag! That's an excellent score and just shows that God is indeed watching over you. He gave you the strength to overcome your worries and grief and He always will. I'm sorry for all your losses, but only time will make them easier to bear. I keep you in my prayers always.

Thank you aknan. I hope you are doing well. Still working part-time and even getting a few extra hours in. I hurt like crazy but when I see my paycheck it makes it well worth it. I am feeling my depression today.
So cute. No trick or treaters come to our house. The ones that have kids usually take them somewhere. However I always have a few pieces of candy just in case.

Same with us. It's been many years since anyone came but we are always afraid to be caught without and buy candy. I didn't mind when my son was alive. We just gave it to him but now if I forget to find a place to donate it to the troops it goes to waste.
Don't like Halloween. My son died around this time and I'm convinced it had a lot to do with his working at night on one of these farms that do Halloween mazes and such. He got pneumonia and didn't know it and took his girlfriend's methadone because he had a cough that kept him awake. Between the two things he never woke up again.

Not too many kids of that age in our subdivision. The churches and clubs have lots of activities kids can go to on Halloween. I do keep some candy just in case!

It's been years since we've had any, too - but we live on a gravel road, and all the 'kids' in the area are now grown up. Plus the kids can get more by going into town and going door-to-door than having to drive between farms. I miss seeing them. When we were little we'd go into town, too - and it seemed so big. (It had 425 people! ) And being dark, and in town, it seemed a bit spooky, too - especially going past the big, old, dark houses.
Cute cookies and hard puzzle. In fact the only thing I can say about the puzzle is, "AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH! ". Which fits into the monster cookie motif. Have a most excellent day with fun, humor, gratefulness, love, and blessings in equal amounts!
