It looks out of place, where is the ice and snow that always seem to go with penguins? Hope that it appreciates the fact that it does not have to shiver its way through life.
Hope you will all have a good day today knowing that the love of God is with you and will guard and guide you today and always. Hugs
Found this on the internet:
During the breeding season, colonies of Magellanic penguins can be found along the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of southern South America, as far north as Golfo San Matías in Argentina and Puerto Montt in Chile. Colonies also occur on several offshore islands, including the Falklands.
During the breeding season, the Magellanic penguin can be found nesting in grassland, among bushes, and on coasts and cliff faces.
In the Falklands, the Magellanic penguin is found around the coastline, especially in areas of tussac grass (a clumpy type of grass), where the ground is suitable for burrowing.

I thought the same thing about the habitat in which this bird is living. Hopefully it is a cool, or temperate area. It looks healthy and happy enough, so I guess we should be allright with the living situation. I adore these birds that usually seem happy and friendly enough. Let us all remember that they are wild birds.

Apparently the area where Magellanic penguins breed is mild to cool, but I couldn't find any records of snow.
But not all penguins live in cool weather. The African penguins (also known as Jackass penguins [due to their braying] and black footed penguins) live in southwestern Africa and survive temps of up to 89F.

I actually had forgotten that some do not require cool climates. I did read that a few years ago. Thanks for the reminder.
