Well I have had it with hospital and consultants after 3 appointments I now have been put on 3 waiting lists, each day surgery
1) Plastic surgery to try and heal the ulcer (what will I do without it after all these years)
2)Nasal Septum has split and needs to be repaired
3) Cataracts...both eyes with maybe further problems.
It never rains but it pours, maybe when they have all finished I shall be a new woman, and the cherry on the cake will be a cure for diabetes.
Looking at all those calories in the cupcakes I remember an elderly sister when I was a novice told me that I could eat broken biscuits..why..the calories had all fallen out.
God bless you all and remember that Gods timing is perfect.
Dear Barbaranne, I am praying for your healing and having faith that your surgeries go well!

I have known several people who've had ulcers cured with plastic surgery - would love to add you to the list! The nasal septum repair isn't all that bad, just annoying, and when cataracts are removed, they let the doctor see into your eye better. These all sound like positive developments, Barbaranne, so I'll keep on praying for your return to normal.

I have decided not to have the nasal repair, to many complications and I can live with it, thank you for your prayers.

@Barbaranne, my heart goes to you with all those surgeries you are facing. Leaning toward holistic and alternative therapies myself, I know raw cabbage juice does wonders for ulcers. The gel from the aloe vera plant is wonderful too. I know nothing about the nasal septum, but did it split because of dryness and thinning? I have mild onset of cataracts, too, but I'm eating lots of organically grown fruits and vegetables while taking vision supplements. These conditions can be reversed. After surgery, you're going to want to maintain a preventive regime. Blessings!

Prayers for the skin graft to take. Is your septum problem the same as a deviated septum? If it is I have known several people with that and it doesn't seem to cause any mahor problems so I think you made the right choice in foregoing that surgery.
Lose the unnatural silver balls, and I would dive into one of those luscious looking cupcakes, What harm can a little red dye do after ingesting it for so many years? There is something to say for enjoyment of desserts, as we enjoy so few these days.
Get out of my head--I just put a pan of cupcakes in the oven! LOL
Great news--Pastor Vicente has had his 3rd chemo and hasn't had any side effects but falling hair and tiredness. He's actually gained 15 lbs and can eat anything you give him. He used to be a bit picky, but now he enjoys things he didn't like when he was healthy! God is so good and so are my praying friends.
Thanks for sharing the great news about Pastor Vicente. So chemo is a cure for pickiness in eating?

Maybe the new appetite is the result of the threat of losing one's life.

Ha-ha. That reminds me of another joke of my husband's.
A teacher brings in a test tube of alcohol and drops a worm in it. The worm promptly dies.
"What does this tell you, " he asks his students.
A hand shoots up to answer.
"Yes? " allows the teacher.
"It says if you drink alcohol you'll never get worms, " the student proudly replies.

Pixipixil's story reminds me of a true story that happened to my niece and her daughter.
The little girl was very upset to be in church that day.
Her mother reminded the daughter that this was God's house. She told her mother that it wasn't God she disliked, it was church.

Parson, good story. I think so many of us have felt that way in our lives.

On a more serious note but along those lines trynfindit I discovered I had faith. This is a bit involved but here goes.
When I went to FIT a teacher was telling us of an encounter she'd had with an artist friend who told her to look at a brick wall. What color is the brick he asked her. Red, I guess, she replied. Oh there's red ther, but also brown and purple and pink and grey. That got me really looking hard at things to try and see all the colors they had.
At Easter my husband decided he wanted to go to the Bishop's cathedral for Mass. I found the place oppressive and it made me sad, but while Mass was going on, the chandeliers caught my attention
and I began trying to figure out what colors I would have needed to paint them. Suddenly I realized I had had faith that those colors were there and could be seen. Before that I was convinced I had hope but completely lacked faith.

Excellent that you found you had faith, Pixi! The One we put our faith in is the most important thing.
1) Plastic surgery to try and heal the ulcer (what will I do without it after all these years)
2)Nasal Septum has split and needs to be repaired
3) Cataracts...both eyes with maybe further problems.
