My dad's funeral is tomorrow. It's going to be a tough day but even tougher is dealing with the loss after all flowers and condolences no longer exist. Everyone goes on. It's part of life and part of eternity. Everyone have a wonderful day and if something is holding you down in your life, keep moving. God bless :)

I agree with elijah13..I lost my husband 5mos. ago and the hurt is still there...so sorry for your loss...I just take it a day at a time and hope it gets better soon...

I am so sorry for your loss, leia7. Prayer and talking to treasured friends will help. Don't let any of the "grief police" tell you to get over it. You will never get over it entirely, you will learn to accept the loss and will start seeing the sunrises again when you have the courage to see it. But cry if that is what you need to do, grieve when you need to, and everything will be better in the right time for you.

I lost my parents years ago, leia7. Not a day goes by that I don't think of them or pray for them. Sometimes are easier than others. Grief for me comes in waves and ebbs and flows depending on what's going on. You have to go on, but it isn't easy. The pain of loss never really goes away, but it doesn't hurt quite as much. Prayers help.

Thank you everyone for your special words. It was a sunny day yesterday and a nice funeral for my dad. Everyone spoke happily and kindly about my father. Thank you again for your prayers and thoughts. each of you has made a difference during this time :)
