A cluster of white crocuses come up every year. they were [lanted by the prior owners who also [lanted white star flowers which multiply like fleas. In pulling those out I pulled up crocuses too. Can't tell the difference unless they're blooming, so now I'm left with one lonely white clump except I finally broke down and bought purple ones last fall. They are opening and I hope the deer leave them be..

White star flowers are delicate and beautiful, but invasive. Pull as many of them as you can if they take up too much of your garden. Don't worry, they will grow back here and there. Those little bulbs are like a plague. I make sure I throw all the bulbs in a yard waste bag that is picked up by the Village and removed from my property. Even dumping them in a yard waste pile will start a new growth.

The deer ate all the crocus. I wasn't fast enough caging them.
You are so right about those star flowers. I have two other things that are like that--chives and grape hyacinths. I don't mind the hyacinths but the chives are a problem. Deer supposedly hate them, tho so maybe I'll spread them around instead of trashing them when they spread.
