The only person I knew who had a pocket watch was my grandfather who was a policeman and head of the traffic department in New Bedford, Mass.

I am wondering if the watch is inside and the case has a watch face engraved on it. The watch hands seem to continue under the band of numbers.

It is hard to tell but Sam has watch that is in a case but everything is all in the case.
