Cats are now outdoors. It took 6 months before I could touch the wild baby kitten. Now a full grown stray is hanging around. My poor old man cat is scratched up from defending his territory.
Toadalove........you REALLY like this puzzle! I couldn't help myself, I saw you played this 11 times! lol I think there's one that I have gone back to just about the same as you. Can we say ADDICTED? lol
Long ago when I was teaching first grade a parent brought three baby chicks for us to enjoy for a few weeks. Overnight it got cold in the classroom so I took the chicks home each nigh. I introduced them to Skippy, our beagle/fox terrier. I padded the kitchen table with newspaper, put the chicks on it and Skippy got up on a chair. He looked, then put his nose close to the chicks and nuzzled them gently, This ritual continued for the duration and when I arrived home Skippy would jump up on the kitchen chair and wait until I prepared "play time." This photo is exactly what happened. They loved each other!
Many years ago, when I was teaching first grade, a parent brought baby chicks to school and let each child who wanted one, take one home. Can't remember parents reactions. However you didn't have problems with parents like you have today. Glad I am retired! Miss the kids and teachers, but not the way you have to teach now.
