These bring back fond memories of my siblings and I playing penny poker and laughing our silly heads off. We spent a lot of time playing that game, even into adulthood, and old age.
I have some wonderful news to all who have been praying for our pastor, he is home but very fragile. He is such a strong man, I think his recovery won't take as long as some thing. Thank you all for your prayers. Hugs.
I am a little behind on my puzzles since my internet was down some but just saw the news...
so very glad to hear your pastor is home, will continue to pray for his strength to return. :)
I'm with you Barbaranne, let's hit Vegas. It will take me 15 min to pack :). I am only 3 1/2 hours away, but I still only get there a couple times a year. Love Love Love Vegas

Well one could not go wrong at Vegas, and the girls are always topping up your drinks, hope you hit the jackpot and have a super time with your winnings.

Gotta share a story with you about a Vegas winner (not ME). I was with a bunch of Women Marines on a trip to Vegas. We were eating dinner when a guy came flying into the dining room yelling for his wife. He had just won The Nevada Nickles for $208, 000 bucks. The casino wanted to pay him over a period of 10 years and since he was already in his 70s, he declined and said he wanted his money NOW. They fussed about it for a bit but his wife came to the rescue and they GOT their money. We were all excited just knowing that a member of our group would be sharing in that win. That's probably as close as I will ever come to a jackpot. LOL

My Las Vegas story is that when my ex and I were driving out to California to come home to Australia, we stopped for something to eat and of course I had to have a bathroom stop. During the course of "events" and under the cubicle, to my horror I saw a pair of men's shoes walk in! When I opened the door to the cubicle this man said in a very thick Texas accent "Well honey, one of us is in the wrong room" and you guessed it, it was me!! My face turned ruby red and I went back to my ex and told him what had happened. The Texan stopped by the table to talk to add further embarrassment to me lol. Funny now, but not then. Hugs.

My Vegas story: Mom and Dad went for the first time in early 70's. Dad won $1100 on Keno (which was a fair chunk back then). He handed it to Mom who walked to the nearest bank and had it wired home! She didn't want to see it get gambled away.
That is too bad about Robert Schuller. We use to watch him all the time. That crystal cathedral was beautiful. Too bad about he and his son. Wonder what the problem was.
Have a great week end everyone. I am not well this morning. I hope I get to feeling better.
One need not cry out very loudly; He is nearer to us than we think.
I hope you are feeling better soon. I found the crystal cathedral to be more architecturally interesting than beautiful. I'm not really the glass and steel type. Takes all kinds I guess. God bless you Jingles. I always appreciate your comments.

Take care of yourself and feel better soon, Jingles.
It's my bet that you all like this puzzle. I don't gamble. I hate the adrenaline feeling of being nervous and I am not that kind of lucky so to me it is throwing money and time away. My aunt liked to take chances on raffles because she did have that kind of luck and often won. A cousin of my mother liked the horses but never went overboard on betting. I prefer challenges like puzzles.
Here's to a day of successfully meeting your challenges.
I'm with you pixipixil, I don't enjoy gambling. When I do go with friends I take a small amount of money and consider it my "entertainment" cost for the night, just like going to a movie. Definitely not into poker but that is my favorite kind of slot machine because I have to think a bit and feel I may have some part in "earning" my winnings. Vegas and Reno are a waste of time for me, except for the various museums around.

I not a gambler either...one time bet a $2 on a horse and lost. I want something in my hot little hands for my money even if it's only food or junk!

That's right. And even if you win big it isn't really enough to change your life. You'd have to risk too much to get any significant amount of cash so unless you like to sit around in a noisy room doing one thing over and over again I see no benefit.
so very glad to hear your pastor is home, will continue to pray for his strength to return. :)
Have a lovely weekend and may you be blessed in all you do.
