In 1967 I came across country, by train, from Oakland, CA to Boston, MA with a few days break in Chicago. The scenery from Oakland to Chicago was spectacular. The rest of the way rather ordinary, but interesting. So glad we did it!
Oh, how I would love to be cruising on that train and seeing that beauty in person.
Enjoyed working the jigsaw puzzle and admiring the beauty surrounding the train. Thank you 5/22/24
What a lovely view. I recently took a train ride from DC to Chicago. It was amazing. We didn't have any views like this but we saw parts of the country that you can only see on a train.
I have ridden a train from the San Francisco east bay area (Martinez) to Portland Oregon several times. It passes Mt. Shasta at sunrise. The elevation of the rail track puts one nearly as high as the mountain. That's a view one cannot get anywhere but on a train! Unforgettable!
