I gave my niece quite a large ball of mud like rock, for her 18th birthday, I thought I would get a rude answer back, I did not know what it was except it was expensive. When she rang I could noy shut her up about this piece of mud. She said her dad had opened it up and the inside was beyond belief, the colours were beautiful and sparkled in the light and the sun. I know nothing about stones but I had chosen the right one. God bless everyone and keep you safe. Did any watch the Royal Wedding on the 19th it was beautiful, we celebrate with a lovely finger food meal at midday and was able to watch tv at the same time, then we had a champagne cream tea in the garden, with a lovely 3 tier cake. Very few wanted much supper in the evening.
The rock you gave her must have been a geode. Did they break it open to find the surprising beauty inside? Your wedding celebration sounds lovely.

Barbaranne, did you find out what the crystals inside were? If they're any shade of purple, they're probably amethyst.

Just seeing this, Barbaranne -- what a delightful viewing party that sounds like! You've inspired me to want to invite friends over to watch a special event and really do it up right. Thank you!
The comments of a year and two years ago are very appropriate. I agree wholeheartedly. I had toyed with the idea of getting a rock polisher. I haven't taken the plunge, though.
i use to collect them
until I run out of room to keep them
mystery today
Keep healthy through 2020.
