Hi aussiesapphire. I've been here almost everyday for quite sometime, only doing puzzles and reading comments. My first time commenting. Thanks for the welcome. I do love this site.

I agree. It was so difficult to put together, yet so fun too.
Haven't seen you post in a while, pixi - hope all is well.

Hi Karen. Got back from a 13 day vacation late Saturday night. I'm finaly caught up on unpacking, doing laundry and sleeping to tell you. I don't like saying we are away on an open network computer which is what the hotel wifi's are. I know I'm anonymous here but I have no idea if hackers can figure out where I live from ip addresses. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to that.
And being dumb I try to be very cautious.
We had a great trip across southern Idaho to Yellowstone Park. We stayed outside the park on a gorgeous lake and we had perfect weather the whole trip. It rained at night twice but was clear by 10 am, and once in the afternoon when we were driving from Yellowstone to our final hotel for flying home so no sightseeing lost.

I understand being cautious, I would be too.
So glad you had a nice trip and all is well. I think your absence was so noticeable to me because I was working through a month and a half of puzzles. where you were commenting every day and then stopped all together. (I got so far behind because I was responsible for decorating for our Vacation Bible School. It's a lot of work, but I enjoy it.)
Anyway, welcome back to your puzzle home.

Thanks Karen. I used to do window display for a living. Decorating is a ton of work and a ton of fun.
Weren't the old straws made out of a type of paper? I vaguely remember when drinks were served out of waxed paper cups, the straws seemed to fall apart.

It was very hard and I had to change puzzle cut. Could not get done in hexagon.

This one is hard with the stripes, but I do like the pastel colors.
This is for JamieT....Yes, straws were made of thick paper that were in a wrap type of construction way back in the 50's. Do remember them. They were at our local soda fountain shop at the drug store. :) Loved going there. They had a wonderful chocolate soda and root beer vanilla ice cream floats. :) Have a wonderful day.

I was in grade school when most soda fountains disappeared in my home town. One small pharmacy had the old-fashioned soda counter child-sized table and chairs.
I think my eyes are tied in knots after this one, did one several days ago that did that too, had to get out my eyedrops to get eyes untangled.

A woman with 8 children was asked how she divided her love among them. She replied, "Love doesn't divide; it multiplies as needed so you always have enough to go around." Share some love today. Hugs, aussie.

I love that aknan! Had a beau once who told me when I had problems with my folks - Grow a bigger heart! Too many people can not do that as it is quite a challenge.

Lovely aknan - finally sent that email but understand that as your weekend is fast approaching (it is Saturday already here), that you will be retreating into you haven. Hugs to you and R.

I've had these - they're usually sold as pirouettes, like the ballet step.
