Ended up with more of a Rip Van Winkle nap than a cat. Lost the whole afternoon...but it sure felt good.
Naps are the best...cat or otherwise. They just whisk(er) you away from all your cares.

I take a nap in the afternoon whenever I can. I love to listen to the radio. I really learn much!

I listen to audio books. There's one reader whose voice lulls me to sleep.
Good morning to all. Pretty tree, but when I see a tree out away from a building I wonder how they got electricity to light the lights?? We have several in the area that are like this.....seemingly away from an electrical source, guess if I find one that is easy to get to I will go check it out. You know the old saying about curiosity and the cat...well I think I am the cat and my curiosity will get the best of me one of these days. Take care and all be safe
Morning darambo… I was wondering the same thing about how they light up the lights,,, maybe they use a battery,, if you find out let us know and be careful with your curiosity...be safe

My husband has lights in the front yard that are powered by solar energy. It works really well if the sun is shining during the day, which it has not been the last 2 days. But it saves on our electric bill and they look great! Be safe, darambo!

They have little boxes sticking out of the ground that they use to plug the lights in

In Boy Scouts, we used to tell the boys to look for a current bush! Then one of the men would pull out his pack, a battery-operated electric razor, rigged with a cord that he "plugged" into the bush, and proceed to shave his face!!
I guess if you don't have enough current bushes where you live, you might have to try solar lights, or a REALLY long extension cord!! hee-hee!

Hey gang didn't mean to let my stupidity show, lol!! I honestly didn't think of solar. What a twit I can be. Will have to check into them. That was a great story JoyceRogers! You all stay safe.
While we're thinking about Christmas trees and pets --- our pup, Skippy, loved the Christmas tree. He would stick his nose under the edge of the tree skirt and edge his way toward the trunk --- crawling under the skirt. Pretty soon we heard "Slurp, slurp, slurp." Skippy loved the pine flavored water under the tree! Then he would back up and have a nap under the skirt. Only his back end was out.
My mother came into the living room and saw him and said, "Has anyone seen Skippy? " His tail started to wag! A dear memory!
AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
