Hi elijah13 - happy Halloween! You did this puzzle 6 years ago, but I'm just finding it now...at just the right time! I hope you are well and that your kitties are well, too. I'd love to hear how you are doing xo bopit
No Trick or Treaters tonight. I believe all the old tradictions we had as kids are beginning to be a lost art..the children of today have too much and aren't willing to goo out to get candy. They are given everything so they need haloween or Christmas for a treat or something they want. Sad
All the traditions seem to be gone. The younger people today do not know our history, past or present. They can't carry on a conversation, seems like they cannot put two sentences together and the art of conversation is going away. And don't let me on my soap box about spelling, lol. I agree with you, sherrybee39, it is very sad.

Our very small farm town gathered in the church parking lot and had a Trunk-or-Treat and at the end there was hot cocoa. It was a lot safer for the little ones. I remember how it use to be, sad it still isn't that way.

That is what I did with my 2 and they are 27 and 24 now. It is just so much safer than when we were kids. that is really sad too

In our town, trick-or-treating is motorized! In our modest neighborhood, we get a dozen or so each year -- mainly tiny ones shepherded by parents -- but most of the children are driven to the wealthier neighborhoods where the treats are better! A friend of mine who lives in the "silk stocking" district says he may get up to a hindred trick-or-treaters each Halloween.

We never get anyone but I do have some candy just in case.

Love the jigsaw and I find the children a joy when they come trick and treating with their parents and some of the older ones come by themselves, I think we are lucky these keep up tradition and hope they come round again at Christmas, carol singing, love to see their happy faces and they all use their manners, seems we live in a different area than sherrybee as she never got any but never give up trying maybe they were doing something else, one of the puzzlers got about near to a hundred and still had lots of goodies left so she took the goodies what was left to a shelter, there are always other things the children do so maybe next year you might get lots of trick and treaters.L O L Santa.
Too cold and windy to take the grandkids trick or treating. Gonna watch the classic 80s movie, Goonies, have a fire, some hot cocoa and Halloween candy instead. Glad they weren't upset, cuz this was the last year we were letting them go at ages 10 and 12.
