Thank you everybody for your replies. It's greatly appreciated. Love, Arlene.
OMG! DB what a lucky person to have a marriage so long. Depending on your grief level remember you can ask for grief healing from your love one. Ask her!
I am one of those who has had no marriage or children but have wanted this all my life. I guess next time around.
One summer my grandparents took my sister and I on a trip to Europe. We stopped in London Harrods and my grandma bought me a shirt and 2 sweaters. I'll never forget the day she called and got my mom and she says oh Hi I'm really calling to speak with caroline. Then says well your sister is already over in France - grandad and I were thinking of taking you two girls on a 3 week trip we'll pay whadda think would you like to go with us?
A dear friend of mine went to be with the Lord a few days ago and has made me very sad. But I know I will see her again one day.
"In a very real sense not one of us is qualified, but it seems that God continually chooses the most unqualified to do his work, to bear his glory. If we are qualified, we tend to think that we have done the job ourselves. If we are forced to accept our evident lack of qualification, then there's no danger that we will confuse God's work with our own, or God's glory with our own."

I'm sorry for the loss of your dear friend, aussie. Even though we know we'll see our loved ones again, we still mourn what/who we've lost. I pray that the Lord will bring you and her family peace and grace at this time. PS: I've been missing you!

Rahrah - you are such a dear. She had bowel cancer and was in a lot of pain - I saw her daughter yesterday who had come down from Cairns (way up north) to nurse her, so she died in her own home which is the way I would like to go. Thank you for your prayers and for missing me. Just been very tired lately. I was going out today, but need to get caught up on lots of things at home, so will enjoy that time here. Loving hugs.

Thank you Rahrah - I appreciate your thoughtful words. She had Lymphoma and had been through 3 sessions of chemo. She has no pain anymore and is truly in a better place. GBU
