The strawberries this spring have been great. I really enjoy them but don't do anything special with them. Today is my 74 birthday and I have been celebrating all day.
We kids used to pick strawberries for our grandparents in our field.
Some local farmers, also, had an EXCELLENT crops of strawberries for quite a few years to where it helped make it the STRAWBERRY CAPITAL of the world. We'd have strawberry festivals for quite a few years in a row. It was something that made Deary, Idaho feel pretty special.
What great memories! Strawberries are one of my favorite things.

My dad had a strawberry patch. We froze them for over the winter along with all the veggies he grew! I still miss my dad to this day!

Good idea santa, freezing them for christmas, in NZ we have fresh strawberries but now I will freeze some for our winter.Yummy.
Love these have been eating them all week, we went to a place in the country and had these for a sweet with some shortbread and cream, so you can guess what I have been making all this week, yes shortbread biscuits, also whipping cream, it was a stacking shortbread biscuits, spread with cream and strawberry's, till you reach the top and then you spread fresh cream on and arrange you strawberries on top shaped like a fan and placed some fresh mint on top.Yummy, when I bake I always, GIVE MY NEIGHBOUR some, must stop doing it now as everyone is complaining about putting weight on, but as the saying goes strength goes through the mouth.
Thank you team for this jigsaw. l o l Santa.
I adore strawberries. We don't pick them, but go to a local fruit market and pick up a flat. Hubby makes the most delicious freezer strawberry jam. And home made strawberry icecream! Yummy!
Love this picture as it just makes those strawberries shine!
