Bring on the chrysanthemums, and I hope I spelled that right! Happy autumn, mamag!!

Yesterday I decorated our house with pumpkins (which are one of my favorite things), fall garland, wheat bunches, dried gourds, Indian corn, fall leaf table runners and candles in brass candlesticks. My son is going to bring home a couple of hay bales for the front porch. We are ready for cooler temps (please good Lord! ). Almost time to buy pumpkins for cooking for homemade punkin' pie!

This was my son's favorite time of year. I can still see him jumping in a big pile of leaves that had just been raked. My husband also liked this time of year. He could not wait for Thanksgiving dinner for the turkey and pumpkin pie. This is going to be really hard without him this year.

Dearest mamag, do you have family you can spend Thanksgiving with?

My sister and I may go out for dinner. Not sure yet if I will be up for it though.

If you live close to me, northern Illinois, you are more than welcome to share the dinner with us.

Mamag, remember that every "first" you do without your beloved husband is another step toward healing. I do hope you go out with your sister and share memories along with food and love.

Thank you so much nborchardt. I am too far away but I do appreciate the offer. It will be alright. Blessings.

Well, if you change your mind, the invitation is an eternal open one, my friend.
Some of these look like they could be fall flowers, but flowers anytime of the year are examples of nature's laughter and joy. Have such a beautiful day that laughter and joy follow in your footsteps and love flows before you.
See you all later (I hope). Have a great day.
Hope today is also for us all.
