Hubby fell yesterday sustaining large hematoma over left eye and several lacerations and abrasions to his face and shins. Took him to ER where they ordered an initial CAT scan and said they'd run a second ten hours later. I came home to eat, and when I called to find out the results of CAT scan, was told that since he had to be in ER for several hours, they had ordered a hospital bed for him, which is more comfortable than the ER treatment table. In the process of transferring him, he vomited (nausea probably caused by a concussion) and aspirated causing matter to get into his lungs. That can cause infections, so they started him on an antibiotic and admitted him. Kindly say a prayer for him today.
Oh, LuvsWesterns, the poor man - bad enough to fall and bruise, but then to get to the ER and have more bad things happen - too much! My prayers for both of you.

Thank you, aknan. I just got back from the hospital. Yesterday was a horrible day, for when I visited, it was well after dinner had been served, and he thought the tissue in his hand was something to eat! That happens with brain injuries, but it is difficult to see. Today he is much better, lucid, cognizant of where he is and that he'll need to stay a day or two (not happy about that), but at 79, he's in a weakened condition and I'd hate to have him fall getting out of the car at home! Poor guy looks like a badger with one black eye bridging over to the other black eye. He's still on the antibiotics as a precautionary measure. Again, thank you, sincerely, for your prayers.

So sorry to hear of your hubby's problems, LuvsWesterns. Will say a prayer for a speedy recovery.
Elijah wonderful saying, thanks for sharing it.Hope everyone is well. We have finally had a few days without it snowing constantly but the sky is still completely covered in nasty looking gray clouds, so I doubt the snow is over. We had have a new cat show up during the storms. Seems to be getting along with the others and our 2 kittens and mama are now letting us pet them but they are still very cautious. The mama and one kitten are beautiful long haired and cream colored, the other kitten is a male, and orange tiger striped. Call him Red and the other is female and we call her Fluffy. We haven't a very good imagination when it comes to naming all the cats. Hope no more show up, we're taking care of 7 of them. Hate for animals to be without food and shelter. I keep telling my husband we should start an animal shelter as all 3 of us are bleeding hearts when it comes to animals. Hope you all get over the time change. The change seems to bother me more the older I get. You all take care and be safe.
