If anyone is still around tonight, please pray for my son-in-law, John. I asked for prayer a little while back because he has esophageal cancer. He finished chemo and radiation treatment a couple weeks ago and went back for reevaluation this week. Unfortunately, the treatment has not been effective. He then saw the surgeon who had previously said he was not a candidate for surgery due to heart problems. Now he is saying surgery is his only hope. They are talking about doing it somewhere around the first of December. And, of course, there are a million hoops to jump through to get insurance approval for the surgery. Please pray that it all goes through so he can have the surgery and that it is successful.
Prayers going out and will continue to pray for his restored health.

Not yet, aknan. Still doing tests and collecting records. The cardiologist still has the final say. They are aiming for surgery the first part of December so we still have a long, tense wait for a decision. Thanks for asking.
Wanted to take a ride to see a waterfall and the leaves but my tummy has other ideas so this will have to do. Leaves around here never get quite that bright and pink. It's supposed to rain most of next week. A friend asked me to go with them for a waterfall trip but she only wants to go on Friday and it's supposed to rain that day. Well the weather could change by then and maybe I'll feel better too.
Hope you are able to enjoy the beautiful Fall colors in person.
Thanks, micky. I don't remember seeing you post before.

I've been a member for a few years now. Haven't been posting for some time though. I've been ill, and experiencing flareups. But, doing better now.

Sorry to hear you have something chronic. I'll pray for your flare ups to be less frequent if not gone.

Those are Japanese maples, pixi - they have the most lovely pink & salmon colors that turn to a blazing crimson. There's one on the corner down from us & it's absolutely gorgeous. All our leaves are gone now...

I've seen a few near us and they seem to be the first to lose their leaves and while the color is similar it isn't as pink or intense. Still they are gorgeous. We probably have different soil from you, aknan. Thanks for the ID of the tree. I have a euonymous (burning bush) that is supposed to turn like that but it only does it in spots. The best color changer for red is the Virginia creeper which is a pretty plant but terribly invasive.
Another GREAT JOB you did again this Sunday morning.
Always have to say, colorful jigsaw puzzles make the day start out
wonderful.
Thank you again for colorful puzzles!
