Good morning to all. Aussie I can not tell you how very happy I am for you. Hearing from your daughter must have made you more than happy. Maybe she is starting to come around and it's just the beginning. Just be careful, don't want to see you hurt again, but you must take this chance to try and renew your relationship. I love waterfalls also. They are all so beautiful and different. One of my favorites ( besides the one in Kauai ) is called Burney Falls, located east of Redding California in of course Burney, California. They are not the tallest, but are more on the wide side, They are so pretty, but there used to be signs on the pathway down to the bottom of the falls to watch for rattlesnakes on the path, guess they like it there!! Everyone be safe.

Yesterday I figured out that I'm a Grandparent and have been one since January. Four generations above ground.

I saw a cartoon the other day which was from a harried woman who was pleading with her mother to take the curse of her that her mother had said for years, "I hope you have kids who are 10 times worse than you" hahahah - thought that was a good one. Dear ParsonWay, it took many years of prayer from lots of people to bring this about, and now my granddaughter is acting like my daughter has done. Must be a lesson in this somewhere. Hang in there and just believe - not easy I know, but it can happen. Hugs.

Aussie and ParsonWayne there are a couple of sayings that I live by 1. What goes around comes around. 2. Karma's a bitch. Something to think about. In my life I have found these 2 sayings very true and I tend to live by them and a few others lol! Be safe.

I remember saying that to my daughter. When she was 4 years old, we were living in Fort Collins, CO, where my husband, at the time, was studying on a scholarship. Anyway, we were walking to the bus stop to catch the bus for her preschool. And she is talking and talking and talking and I am saying, "Uh huh", "Mmmmm", you know the routine. All of a sudden she stops and yells at me, "You don't love me anymore!! " I looked at her and asked why she would ever say that. She answers, "I didn't think you were listening to me, so I tested you by asking if I could play in the street and you said, 'Yes!! '" That was the first time I told her I hoped she would have a little girl just like her!!

That was a perfect reply to her, riborchardt.

My wife used to tell the two worst behaved sons that she wished they had kids twice as bad as they were. Then I reminded her: Do you REALY want grandchildren twice as bad as those 2 sons? She quit saying that. :-)))

Not quite the same thing! Did he evacuate? It looks really scary out there. I have been praying hard for the Carolinas, for the protection of lives, and for afterwards, strength and courage to face the damage left behind.

I live about 40 miles south of New Bern didn't have that much water but got to replace roof and some paneling
and ceiling
we stayed with my nephew from Thursday till Sunday of last week
now a dear friend has a house near us she is letting us use until we can get ours so we can move back home
GOD has blessed us
I've missed all my C4J friends
