I love this room just for a visit. Someone had said they did 300 piece puzzles and I had to pick this one. Well that changed! I wonder how long C4J puzzles have been on. I see some go back to 2015. I'm not sure if I'll go that long. I have a lot of sorting out things since my folks passed a few years ago and Sam brought a lot of their good furniture here from Kansas to NC. We are wall to wall furniture in every room. I had plans to try to sell some of it to an antique store but they aren't paying anymore like they used too. My folks took care of it well. It's better than ours but just don't need it all like 5 china hutches plus every piece Sam packed several dressers full of things he thought I might want to go through. I just can't very fast since I have been in a wheelchair for 28 years. I had thought of a yard sale but have to wait til covid is under control.
You might try posting photos on Craig's List. We've been very happy with our results - the snow blower sold in 4 hours for our cach price! - and I'll be using it again to get rid of our office furniture as soon as I get the drawers empty!

My folks lived around 60 to 70 miles south of Great Bend in Pratt. They only lived there about 8 years before we moved them to live with us. They were in their 90's. I have been through Great Bend several times when I was younger probably going to Iowa for visits. I was born in DesMoines and we moved to Haviland, KS when I was 14 in 1967. There was a Christian Academy and College there that my folks wanted me to go to. When did you live in Great Bend?

Aknan, Thank you for the information. I'll just have to convince Sam. I'll let you know if anything comes of it.
Interesting hotel room. Those white hanging things must just be for show. They seem too thick to repel mosquitos without making the person in bed way too hot.
OK, here goes! I didn't think of that as mosquito netting. It's probably air conditioned, so why would they need netting! I would consider the "two things" a nuisance ---- and possibly fire hazards if those a working light fixtures on the ceiling. I like the color scheme and the attractive impression (minus "the things"! )
Mine is down too!!! Need to redo it but putting it off. I do like the colors (not that much white) would have black cat feathers all over it....

CatladyOKC I can just see that black cat going up the side of the white net..laying on the top for a nap...and sliding down the other side ( My Maggee was a long haired black cat !!!! )

Ours is a Maine Coon, but he has both white & black hairs & lots of it...with this heat here am finding the light hair on the darker carpet & the black on the lighter carpet & lots of it. Would probably have the whole net thing on the bed if he decided to climb it....maybe even both of them & some of the ceiling.

Had to laugh at all of the above cat comments as to the cat hair and them climbing the netting. I totally agree with all of you. I think that this is a resort type bedroom in a warm part of the country. Maybe even in the Caribbean. Pretty, but wouldn't want to be the houskeeper makeing those beds every day.

Can you tell that he rules the house, even growls at the vet when we have to take him in....

Well, my hand is kind of up....maybe....Our bedroom is just so-so, needs some work. Need to get rid of the clutter. But our guest bedroom looks great, finally. It is in the Magnolia theme. Hardwood floors, dark wood closet doors and framing, which we finally cleaned-up and polished up, and put in new window treatments. The colors are green, cream, and pale yellow. Very relaxing looking. Only have the drapes to put up and we're done. :))
I was laughing at all the cat comments. I've had 4 cats and know what it's like with kitty fur on the bed. I would never pick white for bedspread or sheets. :)) That bedroom in the puzzle is most definitely in a resort hotel. Would love to stay there, looks so nice. :) Have a great day. :)

Maine Coon cats are big cats, usually, but sweet. Love their short tails and the way they climb down trees head first. My Uncle has a black and white one now. His first two were solid black with just a touch of white.

Ours won't fit in a cat carrier, had to go to a couple sizes bigger, he just recently suddenly lost a lot weight, & they found he had a hyper thyroid now has to have 2 pill ("treats") per day, that goes good somedays other not so good, but he is doing good now & gaining the weight back.

How much did he weigh before he got sick?? My Uncle's biggest one weighed 15 pounds. Your's sounds much bigger. I bet he is a real doll. Good luck giving him his pills.

His top weight was been 20 lbs...He is large, bigger than any of our that we have over the years. It's funny when my brother & sister-in-law they usually have the Jack Russell with them & he is bigger that she is. Her carrier is 1 size below his. He also likes the litter boxes with no top, has trouble turning around in those w/the top we finally found one w/larger top & it's his porch one when he is shut up on it. Hubby & he are battling over his pill this am, hubby says he will win. I'm hiding out upstairs til
the battle is over. This has just started over the weekend, he did real well for the first couple of months but now he is being his normal stubborn cat-self.

Hi CatLady! What is the Jack Russell, 12 lbs tops? Maine Coons are usually larger. Mimi's top weight was 17 lbs, KitKat too was 17 lbs. But as they became seniors, 15 lbs. was their normal weight. They tend to loose muscle mass in their old age. But for Crickett, have you tried a bit of soft cheese wrapped around the pill? Mimi used to like "Laughing Cow" cheese, the wedges with garlic. I used to let her sniff the cheese and then pop it into the side back of her mouth. It went down a lot better. She too was a very stubborn girl. So set in her ways, but I loved her and all her quirks. Especially her love of Cowboys and Horses tv shows. She loved "Alias Smith & Jones". She would jump up on hubby's rocker recliner, set herself in there nice and comfy and call me to turn on the tv. Hubby would complain, we were stuck watching her shows. :)) We had to buy a second tv, put it in our bedroom so we could watch what we wanted. :))) I miss her to this day, she was such a character. >^-^< Good luck with the Crickett, hope he takes his meds. :)

Hubby said he won today, put it between 2 treats he likes & he ate it. Will give him the info about the cheese, vet would like to see him get to around 17lbs but slowly not too fast. Thanks so much for the info. He is taking his nap in the closet under the stairs, it seems to be dark & cool in there we just have to leave the door open. It's nice to know other people spoil their cats....have a good day!!!
Looks like a hotel room to me- a very nice one, too! I just recently redid my bedroom- light grey paint and pure white bedding. I love it! It's so tranquil and grown-up. I have had to start closing my door though so I DON'T have cat hair all over the bedding! I have 3 cats, one a Maine Coon who is also black and white! 2 giant dogs are now locked out, too! Sorry, critters!
Ours is too spoiled for that, he would take the door down!
Does NOT like doors shut, especially closet ones!

That's funny! My Maine Coon DOES bang away at closed doors- we just ignore him! He's the most stubborn cat!

Our central a/c & heat also need the door open to get it to circulate according to man that keeps it going. But if you do shut a door, the cat will stand out the door and let go with his Maine Coon call (full blast) until you open it for him. Couldn't sleep thru that. Ours can be that way too, decided he did not want his pill (a chewable tab) and there was not getting it down him, he has been eating them fine for a couple of months now with no problem. Took them today just fine. They are for his hyper thyroid, and is suppose to have one in the morning & one in the evening. He is all we have now so guess we might spoil him and he is also getting older like we are.
