Love dogs, but at my age my two cats are easier to care for, and I don't have to take them for a walk.

I never liked this kinds of dog until the neighbors had one who came down to our house & stole our dogs food. I really fell for it.Those little wobbly legs could really go fast when he saw me

Your comment reminded me of something that happened while I was much younger (back when dirt was new). We lived next to friends who had a dachshund who always tried to steal his food. One day, my mother heard the little dog screaming, went out and found our boxer sitting on the other dog while he enjoyed eating as if nothing was happening! Year later, I had a long haired dachshund - they literally own the earth! Loved her dearly.

We got a new pup in January, a precious long haired tweeny dachshund. She is so precious and is having so much fun with our small standard doxie. They are both black and tan.

One of the people at our beach had a dachshund named Hans! He was such a good dog. Never had dogs--only cats! Looks like I did this one twice!
