No, I haven't seen anything from mamag, but I needed to pass some info on to you, trynfindit. I just wanted to let you know that the Mayo Clinic trip is off. In November I was gathering all my records to send to them, but hubby developed a life-threatening infection in his artificial knee. He spent the next six months in and out of the hospital, had three more surgeries (added to the first three he had when they first put the knee in), and was non-weight-bearing on his leg. Hence, my chauffer to Mayo was incapacitated. Oh bother. Now I really don't feel that I could make the trip anyway...I'm getting worse. I have been doing a little on-line research into doctors at the University of Colorado Medical Center right here in Denver. They have a few integrated groups of doctors so they can look at patients as a whole person instead of just parts. I just pray that they will listen to me and try to understand how much pain I am in, and diagnose me with something that can be cured! (God willing! ) I made an appointment...but they can't see me till October. Bummer. I'll let you know when I find out anything. Please pray for me. (And my husband also...He's still walking like a gorilla and in a lot of pain.)
How is your husband doing?

She did a short post about Chip, her dog, last Wednesday, I think, but that's all I've seen for a while. She's probably busy with life.

Joyce, I'm so sorry to hear of all the misfortune you're having. Both you and your hubby are in my prayers. Living with/in pain is no fun. Loving hugs.

Joyce, keep checking with the drs. office every couple of weeks or ask to be put on a waiting list if a closer appointment comes up. I'm assuming you're to too far from the Center to be able to take an appointment on two hours notice. It's helped get my Dearly Beloved in earlier a couple of times.

Sorry that your trip is cancelled. Hopefully the University of Colorado Medical Center can be of help. Best wishes.
Hubby had a good MRI this last time. No new lesions in the spine or brain. This brutal heat really gets him when he goes outside but the ice vest I found 2 or 3 years ago is a huge help. Thanks for asking. Hugs.

Aknan, that's a good idea! I'll have to try that. I don't live far away, so I could make an appointment as long as I have a couple hours to drag myself out of bed and make myself presentable! I'm even willing to do a video appointment...
Trynfindit, good news for your hubby! No new lesions is a great report! "I'm right there with him on the brutal heat...I have my bedroom set up with air conditioning, overhead fan, closed thermal curtains, and a vertical rotating fan that practically freezes the air coming out of it! My husband can't come in here without a coat on! I have to be kept refrigerated, or I'd be swimming in sweat!
Thanks to both of you for letting me share some of my woes. It may sound depressing, but honestly...I have fun looking for the humor in all my situations! It's one of the gifts that God graced me with!

That's what we're all here for, Joyce - to share our troubles and triumphs, hopes and prayers. Hugs.
I've never seen macaroons with icing inside before. These look more like eggwhite cookies but I can't see how they'd end up with icing inside either. You can't cut those in half. Well now I'm hungry. I love macaroons and eggwhite cookies.
Have a tasty day.
These are not macaroons. They are macarons (one o). They are a french cookie made with meringue for the tops and bottoms then frosted and put the other end on.

Thanks nlbuchanan. I thought they looked like egwhite cookies and they are. Do you make two and put the frosting between rather than cutting one in half? They look tasty.
It's hot here today, in the high 90's. We will have rain several days the week.

You know you are in FLORIDA during the summer when the temperature drops below 95 degrees and you feel a little chilly.
I'm ready to feel chilly!
