I wasn't keen on cucumbers either --- until I tried some in Denmark. Served like a combination veggie and relish:
English, seedless cucumber, sliced thinly. (They're usually wrapped in plastic.) Make a "sauce" of equal parts water, vinegar and sugar. (It took some experimenting! )
I call them my "Danish Cucumbers! " Yum!

My Mom would prepare cucumbers like that which I loved, but now that I'm old the cucumbers don't like me. ;(

I was reading this conversation again. I had the same problem with cucumbers, --- but not with English, seedless cucumbers! And maybe the "dressing" helped in some way.
Lots of good looking veggies. Still raining with some gusts from IAN.
Cats would like to go out in their "outside" room but not set back up again for them.
