I love, love love these trees......My nephew gave me one but I had no place to plant it....it get's so big....so I had to give it away and it made me "weep"....haha true story.
For me the weeping willow is most beautiful in the early spring, when the branches hang down with the foliage just showing and is alovely pale green.

I've heard from aussie sapphire. She had 5 TIAs in 3 days. Sister took her to the hospital for CT scan and her doctor said there wasn't anything in her head that shouldn't be there! She thinks the TIAs were caused by all the stress the changes to the National Broadband Network - her communications systems have been in an uproar for the past several weeks. Hopefully, a computer technician will be out to install a wifi USB aerial and check her systems. She should be back with her quotes soon.
Growing up, one of our neighbors had a weeping willow tree in their back yard. I remember once having to go get a switch so my mom could spank me with it. I don't think it worked out very well since she never used it again.
When my son and my youngest daughter were young and had gotten in trouble I told them to go out into the yard and for each of them to bring back a switch. My daughter brought back a switch and my son brought back a 3 foot limb that had fallen from a tree. I laughed so hard I didn't switch either of them.
