Not hard to do but had to take a quick phone call. My niece and husband are coming over to help me. Have a few things that I can't reach and they are both tall. Really can't do without them.
I have a great blue heron that comes to visit every year and these are amazing birds, to see them sit and wait so very patiently for a fish to come near them, and then to see them catch and eat them is so very worth the time it takes. Thank God for these wonderful birds.
We had a Great Blue heron at my in-laws house and lake. "Big Blue" He would move so slow like a cat stalking his meal. They are magnificent to see in flight too.

Ditto. We have a heron rookery on the north end of our island. They have about 60 giant nests. We ( the islanders) joined together to buy the forty acres that was going to be developed so now it is here for everyone in the future.
We have also seen the herons in a meadow--they actually caught field mice, flipped them in the air and swallowed them head first. Could see one sliding down the throat-kind of gross yet fascinating.
