I usually pick the 300 piece puzzle cut or above, but one day I tried the 111 Skewed cut and for a fun couple of minutes that it takes to solve, it's really a lot of fun. Anyone else of my fellow puzzlers like this simple cut?
I've only used 300 once. I don't know how you do it. I used 111 skewed every so often. I like it too.

Micki, I decided to do this one with 300 cut. The way the colors are in groups make it easier. It will take a long time. How do you get all the pieces spread out? I had to take a group of colors inside the frame to work on them but if it was a picture with colors every where I couldn't do it.

I don't know if I can explain it so you can get a mental picture...but I first do the edges and I position it to the far left and top, and then the puzzle pieces with heads and sides but no bottom I group together in the bottom space and on the far right are the pieces with all sides to them. I know it sounds confusing, but if you can follow my meaning..it works for me very nicely. I ultimately then work maybe on colors first or on odd shapes.

I'll try that next big puzzle. I did do the frame first. Thanks. Going back to work on the 300 pieces.

Micki, I finally finished. It took a long time. It's going to be awhile before I do a 300 Classic. I'll info on how you did it.

Beckydent....doesn't matter how long it takes to solve a puzzle. Sometimes it takes me a good long time to finish. I think if you try the 300 Classic now and then, you'll figure out your own way to make it easier.

Are you talking about classic? When you talk about heads and sides do you mean the piece that pokes out on the top and sides but the bottom has an indention for a piece to fit into? If you are talking about other cuts then I'm not sure about them.

Yes I'm talking about the 300 Classic and yes the pieces that have a top and side but no bottom I sort separately than the other pieces. You'll see why this helps even though you don't know why right now...try it and see. Luck and love, Micki

I'm one of those who likes to do the edges first. I also love the new feature where you can shuffle the pieces into a grid pattern. It makes it much easier to sort colors, no matter what cut you use.

I also use the shuffle border feature which pushes pieces to the edge and gives me room to work.

I also do the edge first, and I also use the grid pattern. I'm pretty sure all the puzzlers out there have found their own way of doing things. Whatever works for you is an individual choice.
Beautiful colors. What do you use these for?
