This looks like it's hanging over a fireplace. I hang mine indoors over a mirror I surround with gold tinsel garlands and red bell lights. I also use red twink lights in the wreath. It sets off the green better than white which is too bright and tends to make the foliage look black. It took four days to decorate two rooms and the hall and I ended up having to spend a day in bed afterward. I stopped doing the tree years ago as it was too much work. We send a lot of cards so that's the next thing. I hate writing them because I have an atrocious handwriting and it embarasses me. Trying to decide if I'll do the Christmas village. The manger is the biggest project and after checking things twice I got it up and only half the lights went on. I have six lucite angels but only 3 are lit this year. Just can't start all over. That was a new set of lights, too which went on fine while they were bundled. These light strings don't last long the way they used to, but not even a day? That can take the ho-ho out of decorating!
Hope you all have decorations that don't quit on you,
Guess I'll have to ask God for more patience for Christmas this year.
Careful about asking for patience. Usually when you do your life can get really stressful.

I know what you mean, robert. He seldom just zaps us where we want to be.

I need to share that I finally got the lights over the manger to all go on---on Epiphany. Isn't that a lovely sign from God?

I have a little 4 foot tree in the front window and 2 wreaths on the wall outside that I have on automatic timer. Everyone come in this year for Christmas (every other year) but they only park in my driveway to go to my sisters across the street for gift opening. I just turned 80 and my niece and her husband put up my wreaths and connected it to the lighting. I used to do lots, but not anymore. I understand your situation and you can only do so much. Merry Christmas to you.

Merry Christmas to you Elijah and to your family. I am so glad they live near you and watch over you.
I love the prophet for whom you were named. I love when he has to go up the mountain to hear from God and withstand all the natural forces that today seem to be battering our country.

My screen name comes from a cat I had for 16 years. Loved this cat and still miss him even tho I have 3 cats now.

You must have liked the name to have given it to your favorite cat. I had several cats over the years. The last two led pretty long lives and I got fearful that I was getting a disease cats can pass to humans which is a minor thing in ordinarily healthy people but I became concerned since the symptoms seemed to hang on for months. Between that and the hair and the fact they live so long and I might not outlast them I decided no more cats. I do love them and miss them.

My cat already had that name. Now I have 3 cats--Tabby (about 8), Cleo (about 6) and Blu --probably about 2--found in an Outback restaurant parking lot.

One of my favorite cats whom I named Christmas just turned up in our barn one day and adopted me.
My neighbor's cat would rather be mine, too, I think. She spends most of the day in our yard.

I had a cat like that. She lived on the next street and kept coming to my house. When the neighbor came to get her she would run into my house. The neighbor decided she liked my house better so wrote me a nice note saying so. That cat was declawed and outside! She also had many problems. Had her for a few years and had to have her put to sleep. Loved that cat.
I just remembered that I have a wreath made with pine cones. I counted up and I think it is over 50 years old. Last time I looked at it, it is very apparent that the poor thing needs some refurbishing (again). Maybe some spray paint and red ribbons? I'll have to try to dig it out from all the boxes in my garage. I have so much junque out there, it is a good thing I have a small car! I'm running out of time--eek. Well, maybe next year and start early?
